The Air Force has transported more than 58,500 vaccines against COVID-19 to remote municipalities of Tolima

Within the framework of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, the Colombian Air Force through the Air Combat Command No.4, located in Melgar, Tolima , has transported more than 58,500 biologicals to the most remote municipalities of Tolima: Chaparral, Ataco, San Antonio, Planadas, among others.

The crews of CACOM 4, in inter-institutional work with the Government of Tolima, have carried out hard work with the firm objective of being able to reach the entire population of the department and achieve herd immunity, which will allow an end to the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus.

It is worth highlighting the mission carried out by the Bell 206 'Ranger' team, which is a light helicopter, which, thanks to its versatility, has become the protagonist for the satisfactory development of this Plan, in which they have transported more than 42,400 vaccines, using more than 100 flight hours in this region of the country.

In this way, the Colombian Air Force ratifies its commitment to confront COVID-19 and support the National Vaccination Plan led by the National Government, in order to protect the lives of all Colombians.
